SWS Market Update - March 28, 2022


U.S. stocks closed higher on Monday and bond yields continued to remain near their three-year highs. The 2 year Treasury note yield is 2.336% and 10 year is 2.455%. The 10-year yield is up 16.2% over five days, up 62.8% over one month, up 97.7% three months ago, and up 74.1% one year ago.


The S&P 500 went up 0.71% to close at 4575.52. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.31% to close at 14354.90 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.27% to close at 34955.89.


Economic Reports


Trade in goods, advance report went from -$107.6 billion to -$106.6 billion in February.

The SP 500 is up by 0.71% to close at 4575.52. The index is up 2.56% over five days, up 4.61% over one month, down 4.50% over three months and up 15.22% over one year.

The trailing P/E is 24.78 compared to 44.66 one year ago and estimated future P/E 19.85. Dividend yield is currently 1.39 compared with 1.48 one year ago.
