The S&P 500 dropped 0.32% to 4682.94, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up by 0.05% to 35619.25, and the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.26% to 15854.76.
Chicago Fed national activity index showed that the rate for October was 0.76, up from September’s rate of -0.18.
Existing home sales were reported at 6.34 million for the month of October, an increase from the previous month’s rate of 6.29 million.
