Stocks started lower today after news of slowing of China’s growth but rebounded up resulting in the SPX and DOW again setting new records. Both indices have now had five consecutive days of closing at record highs. Nasdaq was down 0.2% because of ongoing weakness in technology stocks. Oil prices dropped over concern that the ongoing increase in COVID infections from Delta will result in travel restrictions and less fuel demand.
The SPX has now doubled since its low in March 202, the fastest doubling of the SPX since 1933.

The trailing P/E is 31.31 compared to 35.39 one year ago and estimated future P/E 22.29. Dividend yield is currently 1.32 compared with 1.81 one year ago.
